Since we opened the nursery in 1996, we have strived to provide high quality childcare and education for all children that are appropriate to their individual needs and development

 We believe we provide a homely, welcoming atmosphere where every child is valued, happy and safe. Children are independent, creative and enthusiastic and each child’s learning is considered carefully ensuring they are provided with lots of opportunities to develop further and explore the world around them.

We pride ourselves on our parent partnerships and the relationships we have with parents/carers/families .Where possible we encourage home involvement in children’s learning and development, as we believe that the child’s learning and achievement is something we should all be a part of.

Our team is knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. We have an extremely low staff turnover and because of this our children develop close relationships with their key workers and families continue to return to us with extended/additional family.

We consider ourselves a family at General Day Nursery, as everybody has their own role to play whilst being just as important as each other.
